Stagnance or Progression? Pushing past "That Zone"

28/8/2015

In my experience over the years with clients, I always seem to hear this one particular question or some form of variation of it anyway. People buy a meditation cd/course, or read a spiritual book or just use a meditation system that suits them and their own personal taste and suddenly, out of the blue they can’t seem to reach or get to “that zone” anymore.
Before they could go on an amazing technicolor journey and enjoy unimaginable adventures within or just plain go through the necessary steps in the visualization technique to accomplish a subconscious image, sound or peace…now they are coming to be saying they are unable to reach that state. What is going on? The answer is simple, they have entered a brand new cycle/ a new wave a fantastic progression, where they have waded through the ick of life, old struggles and without them even being aware they have shed themselves a few more layers of their onion or shed a few skins much like a snake. You see, we are constantly shifting cycles/upgrading/growing. Life in this existence is not linear, it is spiral like a never ending fractal, in an outwards motion. We are constantly growing and expanding through life.

When you are within this conscious spiritual path or wandering along your journey, cycles whether they are up, or down are all part of the process and they can be controlled, but only for a very short period of time, sometimes a week, a month if you're lucky you may even get a few months (but that is if you're lucky of course wink, wink manifest). It’s almost as if the Universe, picks up that you finally got it, you finally dredged through the hardest task, shed the biggest, fattest skin and here you are thinking you have  perfected yourself to a point of ahhhhh peace, so the then the tests and the assignments become more intense, shifting more frequently and dramatically and you find yourself on yet another rung in the ladder of your life.

Unfortunately, because of a huge lack of understanding about our soul’s evolution, humans unfortunately usually get sucked in and react with an ego-based response. Meaning they turn on themselves (Self-sabotage), they start thinking something is broken inside of them or they keep making mistakes, ie. “What am I doing wrong?” or “What is wrong with ME why can't i get this right?”  or “That YouTube meditation doesn’t work anymore for ME, I must be doing it wrong”. In actuality, things on their journey are progressing at fantastic rates, the fact that you can’t reach the inner silence all of a sudden, means you are dealing with new and deeper issues. (Yes it could mean you are out of balance not filling your body with the nourishment it needs to connect, but I'm talking about the ego based in this instance) Whatever path they were enjoying previously, they accomplished their purpose and now, new and different adventures await on that up and down journey called life.

If you have hit a bump, a stagnance in your meditation practice or altered mind state, the number one step to move forward is to stop, breath and  relax, Then sit your amazing self down and confidently tell your gorgeous self with love and understanding (meaning be gentle on yourself, your ego can be badass, but let's face it you did some HARD work to lose that last skin and it's time to remember to be nice to yourself) that you just successfully finished that cycle of your soul path and you are now entering a new one. The second step is to stay seated and go forth to the depths of yourself to uncover where the new development is needed. (Mercury Retrograde is perfect for this!)

Always, always, always remember, in this amazing space we call the Universe, the only constant in our lives and the world around us is “Change”, live that Truth  with everything you are and you’ll always be in balance with the fantastic flow that is life.

Have you ever hit this stumbling block before? Maybe sharing your experience will help another so feel free to share below.

Empaths - The "socialization" myth

I don't know about you but I can't tell you the amount of times i've wanted to pull my Empath child out of school.

I know in my heart he would be so much better off for not being in the school environment, surrounded by a neverending supply of emotions.

When you look at life through the eyes of a child today, the ability to stay balanced in their emotions is an enormous task.
Surrounded by technology, parental influences such as divorce, break-ups, deaths, stressful emotions they have picked up from their parents due to their own lives becoming more technology centered and quite possibly more stressful. After school activities, working mom's trying to do it all.  Our children are little sponges, they pick up on the good the fantastic the bad and the ugly and where are they for most of their day? They are at school, around other children with the ability to expel all that emotion out on their teachers and other children.  Due to the stresses within families these days how much sleep are our children getting? How much nutrition and time in nature are our children experiencing?
All of these things factor into their behavior, their emotional levels and their ability to learn on a day to day basis.

Now I'm not saying by any means that this is ALL children, but it is a reality in a lot of households.
What is this doing to our empathic children? Well in my experience with clients children and my own, it's creating devastating effects.  Empaths are being bullied for having wild emotions that they are struggling to control and where is it coming from? Their surroundings, it's exhausting and it's heartbreaking to see these beautiful, sensitive, wise beyond their years children suffer and it is in some cases like my son's suffering.  He gets bullied on a daily basis, left out, forgotten and in his words "I feel invisible unless they are being horrible to me, then I feel nothing but sadness".

So I ask myself, why is he still in the school system? Well, because the standard line that comes out of people's mouths when I say I'd like to pull him out is "What about socialization?'
Do you know what?
It's because of socialization that I want to pull him out, that I want my child to excel in the area's he loves.  Where are those areas? Well my son is musical, he's creative, he has a passion for the outdoors for learning and researching till he gets the answers of anything that interests him.....for my son that's space and nature.

Where does this stupid myth come from that socialization (meaning, “surrounded by a large group of just one’s peers”) is SO IMPORTANT for a child’s education? It’s not based in reality—nowhere in real life are humans condemned so clinically to such massive doses of rigid, age-banded human interaction.
In fact as an empath and having worked with many, there is a reason why there is a natural progression to wanting to be alone, to enjoy the silence and your own company....why? Because as empaths it's hard to integrate into a world where people are so set in their ways, where emotion is up, down and all over the place, where stress, worry and monkey mind rules people's worlds.

What is this doing to our new generation of empaths, or sensitive children and how do we integrate such sensitive souls into the everyday school system without them getting lost in the cracks, falling by the wayside and getting bullied to the point of depression and sadness ruling their lives instead of joy and happiness?

What are your thoughts, experiences  on homeschooling or how our sensitive children are handling  the school system?  How do you feel about the need for socialization? Is it needed,  can our children socialize in other areas of their lives such as after school activities and groups, is that enough?

Love and Warm Blessings to you all

Your True Colors - What are they?

2/8/2015

Do you know what your true colors are? Do you know what makes you unique and special?
Your True colors are such an important part of you, they are the things that help you find courage and confidence when you really need it. It is the smile that beams from your face among the tears that have fallen.  The light in your eyes that sparkles through the struggles and hardship as you watch your children play,  an animal showing love or being silly,  the presence of a family member or friend that turns up just when you need them, someone to help scoop you up, nurture you or offer support and encouragement.

We all tend to find out along the journey that is life what triggers us into black holes, what holds us down when we are struggling already.  But do you know what makes you shine, what has you breathing in deep and breathing out all your stress, worry, and struggle?  Do you know what those triggers are?

So often we get help with our triggers, tools and advice for coping with the negative.  What about thinking about giving yourself a toolkit filled with positives as well (nothing like balance right?).
How about thinking about those things, those are the things that give your heart a reason to smile, nudge you out of the dark and into the light where you belong,  a place where you are happy, where you allow yourself a mistake or two or ten and you pick yourself up and you keep moving...why?
Because you know in your heart what makes you happy, what brings you joy, what helps you when you've fallen off the tracks a little bit.  Focus on those things, focus on the good in you, the true colors that shine through with each smile, each sigh of relief, each moment that brings you joy.

So today I urge you to think about your true colors, what makes you shine from the inside out?
Then take those things and add them to your toolbox of life.  That way whenever you need a helping hand, you can reach inside of yourself and pull out those true colors whenever you need them to sparkle up your day.

Comment below what your true colors are for you, you never know it may just help someone else find theirs.
