Gemstones or Crystals are such a special gift to receive or to give for so many reasons. They are mother nature's natural healers, a gift from the earth. Gifting someone with a crystal is the same as offering a healing on some levels. There are hundreds of different types of amazing stones to choose from. Featured in this blog are ten popular gemstones that could be considered as must-haves for each of us.  They each have wonderful healing properties.

Rose Quartz has a gentle energy. It is a heart healer of physical heart ailments as well as emotional heartbreaks. Rose quartz is a timely gift to offer someone who desires to learn more about self-love. You couldn't ask for a more loving teacher in this crystal.
Rose Quartz can help you release emotional stress just don't forget to ground yourself with a grounding crystal to balance out the release.
The key words to remember for Rose Quartz are Love, Emotion and Release.

Fluorite comes in a variety of colors although the intense purple is my favorite. Fluorite is a beneficial stone in that it is a highly protective and stabilizing stone, useful for grounding and harmonizing spiritual energy.  Fluorite heightens mental abilities, assisting in rapid organization and processing of information and can bring mental clarity and stability to an otherwise chaotic situation or struggle.  Fluorite absorbs negative energies from the environment and is effective at Auric and Chakra cleansing.  Fluorite can also shield the user from psychic manipulation.  Due to its powerful ability to absorb negative energies, Fluorite should be cleared often (at least once a week, depending on your circumstances and how often it is used). Fluroite helps gain balance and is one I use if anyone in the family has any ear issues such as infections or vertigo. Fluorite also encourages a sense of self worth.  The key words to remember for Fluorite are Inspiration, stabilizing, co-ordination and clarity.

Lapis is a stone that has been said to unlock mysteries as it helps one move through confusion and emotional blocks and dig through fog/muckyness to the root of problematic issues.  Lapis Lazuli Stones resonate with the vibration of truth and enlightenment, and are powerful intense blue stones for opening the third eye and stimulating the pineal gland.  Lapis Lazuli is a useful stone to wear as it is said to relieve anger and negative thoughts, as well as easing frustrations causing the anger.
Lapis also supports the throat and upper chest area, aids in communication and mediation and provides insight.  The key words to remember for this crystal are Memory, awareness and truth.

Hematite is a powerful grounding stone. This silver-gray metallic gemstone is often used as a
grounding tool to aid those who tend to avoid worldly tasks/events by out-of-body flight. I will slip one in my pocket/sock/bra if I know I'm going to be placed in a trying situation such as a job interview, a funeral, presentation or courtroom dealings. Hematite helps me to become comfortable in my own body when I'd rather escape and do a runner.
This is my favorite crystal for protection of many forms.   It can help reduce inflammation in the body, boost self esteem, grounds and anchors us and energizes all aspects of mind and body.

Key words in remembering what Hematite is used for are Energizing, Grounding and Empowering.

Turquoise stone is an adviser of the highest order, little wonder that it was a revered as a spiritual stone by Native Americans. This stone can be used to help one learn spiritual lessons through meditation and/or dream visions.

This is one of my favorite crystals for helping to calm that monkey mind and constant chatter of overactive thoughts.  It cools emotions that are heightened and balances all the subtle systems, particularly the heart, thymus and throat.  This one is great for neutralizing environmental negativity and enhances your intuition. The key words for remembering this crystal are strengthens, protects and enhances.

Kyanite has always been one of my favorites.  As an empath my emotions can run high and all over the place, sometimes I just need a good release, and this is the perfect stone for a good old cry session.  It helps to balance the whole being, calms and releases blocked emotions, brings tranquility and some peace within.
Kyanite is best worn near the throat chakra. This blue crystal helps facilitate channeling and will open communications centers to enable contact back to self and allow you to listen to all that knowledge that your higher self makes available to you. Kyanite is probably best known for its balancing properties that align the chakras. There is no need to cleanse this stone, it clears itself automatically of negative energies.

Citrine is a wonderful yellow colored stone to carry with you.  It anchors and activates our lower chakras which is a huge plus if you are low in energy.  It is restful and warming, boosts confidence and creates a sense of renewed personal power. It helps to manifest your goals. This energizing crystal also keeps one cheerful because it is filled with empowering solar energy. It attracts abundance and personal power.  Key words to remember for Citrine are warming, comforting, uplifting and energizing.

Shoulder Tension?....What's the emotion behind it?

Our bodies can tell us so much about what's going on inside of emotionally if just take the time to listen.  What a lot of people don't realize is that physical symptoms that arise in our bodies in the form of disease, injury and sickness have a lot to do with our emotions and how we do or don't express them.

The shoulders carry the weight of your world, of the work that you do, of your families, relationships.  Responsibility is such a weight for a lot of us, as we each travel on this journey called life.  As we grow into adulthood the responsibilities can become great and sometimes overwhelming such as, mortgage/loan payments, demanding children or just making sure everyone's schedules coincide to take them to the various activities on offer.  Work responsibilities and home responsibilities, sometimes it's hard to escape that overwhelming feeling of responsibility we each put on ourselves.  Problems with the shoulders may indicate not just the weight of the world but also avoidance of your own issues: You know that feeling of constantly dealing with everyone else's needs and your obligations to others that you have little or no time etched out for yourself.

This area of your body is the DOING  or CREATIVE center.  From your shoulders energy flows down your arms and into your hands,  where you express yourself to the world through your creative talents.   This applies to the work you do as well as the way you live your life - what you do with the time that is given to you, what you do with your relationships, or do with your feelings surrounding these things.  The shoulders get tense and rigid when you are not expressing your real needs - those things that pertain to your self care and time out.  When you are not expressing your real needs, when you are doing something you would rather not be doing, or helping someone you really didn't have the time or energy to help, when you feel you have too much to do, or when you feel scared of reaching out for help and want to pull back into what you believe to be safety and do nothing, when what you are really doing is procrastinating and doing a very good job of shoving whatever it is as far under the rug as you can get it.

Another reason for tense, sore and rigid shoulders could be you holding down or repressing something you really want to do.  That yearning inside of you that you know is there but you just don't listen to - so it comes out in your shoulders, the more you repress the yearning the more tense you may feel across your shoulders and eventually up into your neck if ignored.

Tension restricts the flow of energy and feeling.  In the process of putting others' needs first, your own activity may be stifled.  The shoulders are where that "doing energy" becomes blocked.  What is it that you are holding in, stuffing under a rug, or procrastinating on that may be blocking that flow of energy?
What small changes can you make in order to start releasing some of that blocked energy?

The muscles are in alignment with our mental energy (what we are worried about/scared about/overthinking),  so you manifest that need (that you are not addressing)  in the from of energy that is knotted and tight in the shoulder muscles for they contain so many of your longings and burdens.  When you think about the layout of our bodies we can see that whenever we go to hug, touching, sharing, caring or being intimate with a person, that whatever we feel in the heart (for empaths this could be substantial) gets relayed up through our shoulders and out into our arms/hands. Not only does the heart energy come up and out through  the arms/hands but it also flows back the other way.  It should be a loving, smooth flow of energy through this movement with another but often we create or feel blocks from another along the way causing that stiff feeling or pain to be felt.
For example intuitively we just feel when we are hugging the wrong person, or you feel that your kindness/compassion/love is being rejected in someway, or that you are fearful of intimacy.  This can manifest itself into a frozen shoulder, an indication of where emotional coldness or past experiences is affecting you, either coming from another to you, or from you toward someone else.

If at any stage we are locked in thought/struggle or stuck in fear/anxiety our shoulders naturally raise often without us realizing it.  If this continues over time the shoulder muscles begin to lock into that position.  The long term effect of this is that our attitude also locks into whatever thought/struggle/fear or anxiety we seem to be stuck in.

The overwhelms, the burdens of life that exist for most of us daily are seen physically in that of hunched over shoulders.  They also indicate a desire to protect yourself by closing your body around your heart.  Shoulders that are pulled back often indicate the holding back of feelings, especially ones of love such as touching or caressing, knowing that we are loved and supported and don't need to do it all alone, all the time.

Painful shoulders could well mean that you are carrying far to much all on your own.
Do you really want to say to people "Please help me, please love me, please care for me"?
Have you been dismissing your own problems and taking on others problems for far too long?

All of what I have discussed in regards to the shoulders can be boiled down to some form of resistance, that could be to your responsibilities, the pressure to perform, the need for change in your life but the fear that holds you back.  Any form of resistance can usually be found in the shoulders.

Try this...... For a few seconds feel your body, look to your shoulders are they stiff? Do they hurt? Are they hunched? When you took a deep breath did you feel the release in your shoulders?
If so, put a note up where you work to remind yourself to release some of that tension in your shoulders and to think about what you may be resisting in your life.  Is it possible to delegate or offload some of the work/feelings to another so that you don't have to do all the heavy lifting of those shoulders on your own?

Huge love and warm blessings to you all

We All Have A Past & We All Make Mistakes

We all have a past and we all make mistakes.  We really do! We are never really alone in this although we like to think we are.  If we really took the time to look into each other's eyes then we would see the pain, the struggle, the hardship, the joy, the happiness, the blessings and evidence of the scars that hold us back.  It is true what they say, that the eye's are the window to the soul.

I’ve had thousands of failures, hundreds of wrong decisions and countless stupid mistakes, yes I really have and i'm sure i'm not alone. I’m flawed, scarred, and imperfect. I cannot change or undo any of this nor do I wish to.  My past has made me whom I am today and I like who I see in the mirror each day.  I'm proud of that person staring back at me and just how far she's come.  I love her for the perfectly, imperfect person that she is.

I am stronger because of my hard times, wiser because of my mistakes, happier because of my sad experiences and smarter because of my moments of confusion. I’ve learned to love more passionately and with much greater conviction and I’ve found my inner strength to walk any path that shall be put in front of me with my head held high and with great character, moral and dedication.

When you judge someone poorly of their past and their moments of mistakes and do not give them a chance, you are not defining them, you are defining yourself and just may miss out on someone that is "Perfectly Imperfect” for your world no matter your own imperfections and mistakes.

Have you been defining yourself rather than others? I think we all have at some point in our lives and know is the time to forgive ourselves and move forward with more awareness and compassion for the soul behind those eyes that speak the truth that often no one hears.

Be kind to one another xox
